Financial Assistance
The Sandra J. Booker Foundation strives to give the youths, teen moms, and seniors in our community the support they need.
*Financial assistance will be provided only twice a year (February and October). Request can be provided a month before.
Stipend
Senior Stipend
$500 awarded biennially to Lake County residents aged 68 or older.
Eligibility criteria:
- Proof of financial need via household income documentation and residency
- 50‑word statement: Describe financial need and how the stipend will be used
Award presentation: Must attend the Sandra J. Booker celebration to receive the stipend.
*Senior stipend open January 2026 – until July 2026.
Youth Stipend
$500 awarded biennially to students grades 1 through college who reside in Lake County.
Eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrated academic achievement—submit a report card or transcript.
- Proof of household income and residency
- 300‑word statement: Describe financial need and how the stipend will be used
Award presentation: Must attend the Sandra J. Booker celebration to receive the stipend.
*Stipend has closed for 2026. New requests can be submitted starting Jan 2028 – July 2028.
