The Sandra J. Booker Foundation proudly shares several milestones. On January 8, the Foundation was officially granted its trademark for both its name and logo. We also launched our first SJB Talk: 1:1, an intimate conversation series with requestors, available on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

The 2026 Volunteer Season begins in March with the Foundation volunteering at Mother’s Trust Foundation for the Prom Readiness Experience on March 7th, Northern Illinois Food Bank on March 21st, and the Senior Sunrise Living Community of Gurnee on May 9th. Stay tuned for details about our upcoming Fundraising Event and opportunities to participate.

Mark your calendars for Sandra J. Booker Celebration Day on August 22nd from 12 PM to dusk at Bowen Park. The following day on August 23rd, we will pay honor to San at Genesee Theatre with a seat dedication in her honor at 2PM.

📊 What We've Achieved

Milestones we’ve reached and the impact we’ve made together.
Our accomplishments reflect the dedication of our team, partners, and community supporters.

Achievements in Action

We made a meaningful impact by supporting grandparents raising grandchildren through Waukegan Township with holiday gift cards and adopting two young adult families for Christmas, providing gifts from their wish lists.

Also, providing Ongoing Monthly Food Contribution Allowance to My Father’s Business to Support an After-School Youth Outreach Program

  • Provided Girls and Boys of Character travel expense funding to help send five children to Washington, DC for an Educational Experience in 2026.
  • Provided Sign of the Dove Church Youth Program with travel expense funding to help send eight children to the Kids Sports Academy of America in 2026.
  • Provided funding to help a senior citizen with grocery and essential needs in 2026.

In 2025-26, we volunteered with the organizations below:

  • Feeding My Starving Children
